6 Tage Lissabon. Ich hatte mir zwar vorgenommen mit dem Bus in den Süden von Portugal zu fahren, habe aber dann entschieden im Großraum Lissabon zu bleiben. Jetzt habe ich ein paar Speicherprobleme mit meinem Blog, also verweise ich hiermit auf mein Portugal Black & White Set bei Flickr. Es gibt auch ein Lissabon Colour Set.
The arrangement
Am 18. Februar fliege ich für sechs Tage nach Lissabon. Der Plan: Fotografieren und hoffentlich die Sonne genießen. Die Temperaturen im Februar betragen dort im Durchschnitt 16° Grad. Die Regenwahrscheinlichkeit ist in dieser Jahreszeit allerdings recht hoch. Das könnte bedeuten, dass der Aufenthalt recht abwechslungsreich werden dürfte, was ich auch hoffe, denn am Ende wären 6 Sonnentage auch etwas langweilig. Ich weiss noch nicht wo ich schlafen werde, viel mehr als 20,- Euro will ich pro Nacht nicht ausgeben. In 2 Wochen ist es soweit, Abflug in Frankfurt und dann eintauchen in eine Stadt, die in Europa einen ganz besonderen Platz hat. Lissabon ist für mich das San Francisco Europas. Nicht nur wegen der Ponte 25 de Abril, die Brücke des 25. April. Diese ist meines Wissens von der selben Firma (American Bridge Company) gebaut worden, die auch die “San Francisco Bay Bridge” gebaut hat. Auch wegen des milden Klimas und der Nähe zum Meer, fühlt sich der Aufenthalt an der portugiesischen Küste nach Kalifornien an.
Ok, es ist Sommer!
Ich habe gerade Lust mal wieder in meiner Landessprache zu schreiben, but I will mix it with english for all the Flickr friends! Ich muss sagen, I love my LEICA CL. Klar, digital geht schneller und die guten DSLR´s haben auch schon sehr gute Sensoren, aber wenn ich mir Bücher ansehe oder Hefte über Fotografie, dann gefallen mir meistens die Bilder, die mit analogen Kameras gemacht wurden (insofern man das überhaupt noch unterscheiden kann). Vielleicht deshalb, weil man so viele “schlechte” digitale Schnappschüsse um die Ohren gehauen bekommt.
Eine unglaublich übersättigte Farbenflut strömt Tag für Tag auf uns ein. Im Internet wie auch auf der Strasse und in den Geschäften. Vielleicht ist die analoge Fotografie etwas exotischer geworden in der schnelllebigen digitalen Welt. Ansonsten kann man sich über dieses Thema (digital oder analog) streiten und sogar langweilen. Wie auch immer, ich denke, ein gutes Bild ist ein gutes Bild, das kann man am Ende auch mit einem iPhone machen.
Somebody talked about this place in the woods with all this rocks. The next day I went there, it was raining but the water didn´t came through the leaves. It felt like we were in the rainforest. If you live around here, you should visit this place. Now I have to write in german because I am faster.
Das “Felsenmeer” liegt im Odenwald, genauer gesagt in Reichenbach. Das ist genau HIER. (Google-Maps Link). Der Weg nach oben ist nicht leicht, es geht steil bergauf, also vorher vielleicht mal ein paar Zigaretten weg lassen. Da ich nicht rauche, war der Fußmarsch kein grösseres Problem aber meine Lungen waren auf jeden Fall sehr gefordert. Ich habe dann auch mal einen kleinen Abstecher direkt über die Felsen genommen, bei der nächsten Kreuzung dann aber noch mal darüber nachgedacht und ein weiteres höchst forderndes Felsengekraxel sein gelassen. Meine Schuhe waren zu glatt an der Sohle, was auf den Felsen zu unkontrollierten Rutsch-Zuckungen führte. Der Rest der Strecke ging auf den beschilderten Wegen in Schlangenlinien nach oben.
Ich habe mich natürlich die ganze Zeit gefragt woher diese Steine kommen. Die kommen nicht etwa von oben. Nein, die kommen von unten. Genaueres kann man z.B. HIER lesen (Wikipedia). Ich hoffe der Inhalt dieser Seite ist wissenschaftlich korrekt. Ganz oben ist übrigens ein Restaurant. ADA´S BUKA. Afrikanisches Essen und Bier aus Windhoek wer mag.

Inspired by Robert Franks The Americans I always wanted to travel across the USA and document the countrys state and its people in our -tough- times. The summer of 2010 has been my projected date ever since New Years eve 2008 and Im planning my trip as I write this blurb.
The experience of doing a road trip by car appealed to me at first, but I think of it as a very solitary experience and decided to put a different spin on my trip across the country. I will mostly utilize public transportation, namely the Amtrak and busses to meet people and interact with them; after all the human element is what makes my photographs speak to the viewer.

Took a lot of shots the last weeks. Had no time to post them. Played some gigs with different bands and between the rehearsals and shows I sometimes have time to take some pictures. I took more pictures on the road with my digital camera. So, this is the post of my scanned Neopan 400 negatives. I took very much digital pictures with my LX3 from some gigs and trips. I´ll post the best of them in the next post. Here is the analog stuff. Click the picture for a bigger view and the description.
I found some pictures of a trip to France in 2008. I´m tired of all that snow here and I´m missing the sun. So, maybe this summertime pictures can produce some summer feeling. We went to France in 2008, by plane to Montepellier, were we stayed the first night and ran into a techno party. Next day we took the train to Cosprons. It´s in south France almost in Spain. We lived in the house of a friend and we had a great week with sunshine and great food. Our friend (Christian) really knows how to cook. All pictures taken with a LEICA CL, 40mm Summicron-C, and cheap ROSSMANN 400 ISO Film. Some people say this film is nothing else than a Fuji Superia but I´m not sure if this is right. The scans were made by the developer-shop.
I don´t have an iPhone, but the best camera Is always the one that’s with you. So, it was my E71 handy.
